Swimming Pools The swimming facilities at the Quillian Center include a large swimming pool for youth and adults and a smaller pool designed for your children.  The full-sized pool features dual slides and two diving boards.The smaller pool, known as the "Noah's Ark Pool", was VOTED BEST POOL IN HOUSTON IN A POLL BY GREAT DAY HOUSTON!!! It's our most popular pool because it's perfect for pre-k and early elementary school-aged children. It's shallow, and it provides a great area for splashing and playing. A "Noah's Ark" structure is located in the center of the pool and includes three slides and a crawl-through. A mushroom water drop, a rainbow slide, a coconut water drop, and spraying water from Noah's animals complete this fun facility. Swimming Pool Slide Show! * * * Noah's Ark Pool Slide Show! Weekday Hours May 20 - May 31, 2013 (For these 2 weeks - Monday, Wednesday, and Friday Only)  10am - 2pm (Noah's Ark Only)June 3 - August 23, 2013 10am - 4pm (Both Pools) August 26 - August 30, 2013 10am - 2pm (Noah's Ark Only) Saturday and Holiday Hours Saturdays (May 25 - Sept 2), Memorial Day (May 25), Independence Day (July 4) and Labor Day (Sept 2) 10am - 4pm (Both Pools) Daily Pool Admission The daily admission rate for the pool area (you may enjoy both pools) is just $6.50 per person. Children under the age of one are admitted free. Admission for Quillian Center Members is just $4.50! (must show membership card). Quillian Center Family Membership! You can also save by purchasing a "Twenty-Swim Pass". This pass provides 20 daily admissions to our pools and the cost is only $100.00. ($5.00 per daily admission). The Quillian Center accepts cash, checks and major credit cards. There is a $10 minimum to use a credit or debit card. Free Swim Days for Quillian Members! Memorial Day: May 27 Independence Day: July 4 Labor Day: September 2 The pool is also open to non-members on these holidays, but admission fee is required. Concessions  We have reasonably-priced sandwiches, hot dogs, pizza, cold drinks, ice cream, and candy for the you and the kids to enjoy when you visit our pools. Please visit the concession stand and ask about our daily special! Birthday Parties! The Quillian Center hosts the most memorable birthday parties in Houston! Either of the Quillian Center pools or the covered picnic area may be rented for your next private party. But you'd better sign up now - reservations are filling up fast! Quillian Center Party Rentals! Pool Rules Please familiarize yourself with all pool rules posted at the outside gate before entering the pool area. Slides, diving boards, and Noah's Ark play structure have special rules. For your safety, please follow all rules and adhere to lifeguard instructions. Swim Diaper Policy All children who are not potty trained must wear a swim diaper. Regular diapers may burst or leak. Feces in pool water spread a host of infectious diseases. One child could contaminate thousands of gallons of water. Anyone who has diarrhea within the past two weeks should stay out of the water. If a child defecates in the water, please notify a lifeguard or pool manager. Changing tables are located in both the men's and women's locker rooms. Please do not use pool side tables for changing diapers. Rain Check Policy The pool will close for 15 minutes when lightning and/or thunder is in the area. Rain checks will only be distributed if the pool is closed for 75 consecutive minutes. Rain checks must be used by September 2, 2013. |
